Carrollton Woman Killed in Roll Over Accident Sunday

A Carrollton woman was killed in a one vehicle roll over accident Sunday Afternoon in Chariton County.

Troop A of the Highway Patrol reports 68-year-old Carrollton resident Caren J. Bitiker was driving a 2006 Chevy Express van on Highway 11 about one mile north of Brunswick at 2:50 P.M. Sunday when the van went off the right side of the roadway.

Bitiker reportedly overcorrected which caused the van to overturn, coming to rest on its wheels.

Bitiker suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene by Chariton County Coroner Nyle Bowyer at 3 P.M.
