Central Decatur Approves Firm For Facilities Master Plan Development
Following a work session, Central Decatur School Board members selected a design firm to create a Facilities Master Plan for the district during their May meeting.
FEH Design was selected for the development of the Facilities Master Plan and develop a plan for door entries, safety and security, and HVAC Projects.
Board members approved a bid of $205,502 from Commercial Roof Coatings to redo the roofs at the South Elementary, North Elementary, and North Elementary Gym.
New playground equipment was also approved for the North Elementary from Play-Pro for an amount of just under $19,000.
Tentative agreements were approved for certified and classified staff for the upcoming school year. The certified staff contract includes $150 to the generator base, a one-time $600 supplemental payment to the career increment for existing employees. The total package increase is 3.3 percent.
The classified staff will receive an increase of 40 cents per hour in their base hourly wage. The total package increase will be 3.48 percent.
Summer school teachers were approved.
The board hired Zach Clark as Special Education Coordinator, Katelyn Rogers for Secondary Social Studies, Carrie Coulson for Middle School Math, Cody Ferguson for Secondary Physical Education, Bailey Gwinn for Transitional Kindergarten, and others for Teacher Leadership and Teacher mentors.
Reece Tedford has hired as Head Junior High girls Track Coach and Chad Ray as Head Junior High Girls Basketball Coach.
