Changes to Health Insurance Coverage to Employed Adults With Disabilities

(Missouri Net) Working Missouri adults with disabilities will soon get their income limits increased to help them keep and maintain their health insurance.

Republican Springfield House member Melanie Stinnett was the inspiration behind legislation signed into law by Governor Mike Parson. Stinnett proposed changes to the Ticket to Work Health Assurance Program.

Up to 50-thousand dollars would be exempt from a spouse’s income toward that limit, according to Stinnett. The proposals in Senate Bills 106 and 45 take effect on August 28.
