Chillicothe Business Gets Unwelcome Visit From Deer

A Chillicothe business had a most unwelcome visitor Wednesday morning.

According to a release from Chillicothe Police at 10:55 A.M. Wednesday they received a call for service from a business in the 500 block of Washington Street due to a deer breaking through a plate glass window.

Once on scene officers and animal control officials says the deer ran through the business causing significant damage before breaking out of the store through a second plate glass window.

Officers with Chillicothe Police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol followed the deer to a safe location and dispatched the animal in the creek of Clay Street Park.

The Missouri Conservation arrived on scene and took possession of the deer.
