Chillicothe Man Pleads Not Guilty of Assault

A man from Chillicothe has pleaded not guilty of an assault charge.

Court documents charge 31-year-old Colbi Dillion Stottlemyre of felony assault 1st degree or attempt – serious physical injury or special victim and felony armed criminal action.

Stottlemyre appeared in Livingston County Court without counsel and after being formally arraigned, informed of charges, the range of punishment, the right to counsel, the right to retain counsel, the right to request the assignment of counsel if unable to retain counsel, the right to remain silent, and that any statement made by him may be used against him, the defendant entered a plea of not guilty. He was referred to a public defender for representation.

Previously this year, Stottlemyre had a protection order served against him with other court documents indicated he is charged with violating that order. Other cases from 2021 involve charges of stealing, trespassing, and possession of a controlled substance.
