12:21am, Officer out with subject on Shagbark Drive on a follow-up investigation….

3:18am, Officer checking well-being of subject in 400 block of N. Washington Street…. Subject OK, continued on their way…..

3:37am, Officer checking subject in the 100 block of W. Business 36…..Subject was found to be an employee of the business, checking the rear of the business…..

3:46am, Officers stopped a vehicle on Westbound US 36 for a traffic violation……The 31 year old driver from Joliet, Illinois was cited for No driver’s license, processed and released….

5:10am, Officers responded to the intersection of US 65 and BUS. 36 HWY for a two vehicle crash without injuries…. The driver of the striking vehicle was issued a citation for failure to stop at a steady red light and given a must appear municipal court date….. The vehicle that was struck was towed due to disabling damage…

8:03am, Officers out in the 300 block of S. Washington Street on an ongoing investigation into stolen property…..Information was relayed to business owner…..

8:17am, Officer provided a public relations detail at the PD by unlocking a pair of hand restraints…..

8:22am, Officers responded to the 2500 block of Fairview Street, for a domestic disturbance….A 29 year old subject was arrested for domestic assault, transported to the Police Department, processed and released with a citation for Domestic Assault 4th Degree…..

8:36am, Subject calling PD to speak with Officer in reference to an earlier disturbance…..Message taken….

9:45am, Subject in the 300 block of Samuel Street complaining of loud noise to the south of their residence…..Officers checked area and determined it was roofers working on a roof some distance away….

10:20am, Subject in the PD to speak with Officer in reference a n investigation….

11:00am, Officers out at 1000 block of Graves Street to assist Emergency Services for a subject that had fell and struck their head…..Subject was transported to Hedrick Medical Center…..

1:37pm, School Resource Officer meeting with Children’s Division Worker at Middle School in reference a juvenile with anxiety issues….

1:44pm, Judge Elliott calling to speak with Officer……Message received…..

2:06pm, Officer out in the 1300 block of N. Washington Street on follow-up investigation….

2:44pm, Subject at PD in reference to a vehicle accident where one party was uninsured….Officer handling…..

3:02pm, Officer out in the 100 block of Herriford Street in reference to two dogs fighting…..Officer investigating and issuing dog owner three citations to municipal court….

3:17pm, School Resource Officer out at 1100 block of Oak Street in reference a child custody dispute…..Parties advised it’s Civil issue….

3:17pm, Judge Elliott calling for Chief…..Chief taking call….

3:28pm, School Resource Officer requesting Officers in the 100 block of Locust Street to do a well-being check…..Subjects advise that situation is being taken care of….

3:36pm, Officer out in the 700 block of Webster Street….Kids fell off of bicycle…..Child received a skinned knee and is OK….

3:44pm, Officers responded to Highway 36 and Highway 65 eastbound on-ramp for a two vehicle, Non-injury accident….Information for the report was obtained and both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene….

4:01pm, Officers took a report of 2 stolen Missouri License plates from the 1100 block of Smith Street…. The investigation is on-going and no suspects have been identified….

4:10pm, Subject in the PD to pick up recovered property….Property was returned….

4:52pm, Officer checking on subject at Locust and Webster Streets,….Subject OK….

5:10pm, Subject reporting theft of Mini-bike from the 300 block of Mansur Street…..Report taken and investigation continuing….

5:59pm, Request to check well-being of subject in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street….Subject not located there, but they are calling the subject to advise them to call their relative….

6:09pm, Received request for assistance from Linn County as they were in pursuit of a vehicle, westbound on US 36 toward Chillicothe….City officers were able to deploy stop-sticks just east at the City limits and the pursued vehicle struck them…..The vehicle continued on westbound losing a tire and continuing on the rim…..The vehicle eventually came to a stop near the Grand River Overflow and the driver and passenger from Kansas City area were taken into custody….A firearm was located in the vehicle……Agencies involved were Marceline, Brookfield, Linn County, Highway Patrol, Livingston County and Chillicothe Police….

6:15pm, Officers recovered drug paraphernalia from an alley in the 200 block of Walnut Street….It was brought to the PD to be disposed of……

8:49pm, Officers out in the area of Samuel and Frederick Streets on an investigation….

9:30pm, Officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of 3rd Street and Woodrow Avenue for failure to display license plates…. The driver had an active warrant out of Grundy County…. They were arrested and transported to the Law Enforcement Center where a $10.00 bond was posted…. The driver was released with a pending court date….

10:06pm, Officers out at residence in 1000 block of Broadway Street in reference a domestic disturbance…..Subjects were yelling at each other, nothing physical…..No arrests were made…..Options explained to parties involved…..

Numerous traffic stops, continuing investigations and building security checks…..

Chillicothe Police received 119 calls for service on 10-05/2021…..
