Chillicothe Police Activity for 10/20/21

1:40 a.m., Officers conducted a well-being check in the 1700 block of Boyd St. The person was found to be okay and did not need assistance.

3:01 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a noise complaint in the 1200 block of Calhoun St. Officers responded and contacted the persons involved. They were advised of the complaint and to cease their activity.

7:05 a.m., Officers conducted follow-up on an investigation.

8:54 a.m., another agency called the Police Department with questions about an ongoing investigation. Officers spoke with the agency and provided assistance.

9:24 a.m., Officers conducted court-ordered fingerprint at the Police Department.

9:45 a.m., another agency called the Police Department with questions about an ongoing investigation. Officers spoke with the agency and provided assistance.

10:03 a.m., another agency called the Police Department with questions about an ongoing investigation. Officers spoke with the agency and provided assistance.

10:04 a.m., Officers were dispatched to dogs running at large in the 1700 block of Clay St. Officers responded and were unable to capture the dogs at that time. Officers reported it appeared the dogs returned to their property. Animal Control was also notified.

10:26 a.m., Officers conducted a well-being check in the 1000 block of Graves St. The person was found okay and did not need assistance.

10:42 a.m., another agency called the Police Department with questions about an ongoing investigation. Officers spoke with the agency and provided assistance.

11:23 a.m., a business called the Police Department and provided further information for an ongoing investigation. The information was provided to the Investigation Officer.

11:37 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible illegal burn on Third St. Officers responded and located the fire. Officers determined the fire was legal.

12:16 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department with questions about an ongoing investigation. Officers spoke with the citizen and answered their questions.

1:20 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department with questions about an ongoing investigation. Officers spoke with the citizen and answered their questions.

1:30 p.m., Officers spoke with a citizen about an ongoing investigation. Officers received information from the citizen to continue the investigation.

2:07 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department and reported obstructions on the street near Clay Street Park. The Street Department was notified.

2:23 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible disturbance in the 1100 block of Oak St. Officers responded and discovered there was no criminal activity at that time.

2:47 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a one vehicle leaving the scene of a crash at Monroe St. Officers later located the vehicle and arrested the 49-year-old female driver for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash. A Probation & Parole warrant was later obtained and the female was transported to the Daviess-DeKalb County Regional Jail.

2:56 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department about possible stealing. Officers discovered the caller suffers from Alzheimer’s. No report was taken.

3:02 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department to provide further information for an ongoing investigation. The information was provided to the investigating Officer.

3:15 p.m., CMU called the Police Department requesting information for an earlier reported struck pole. The information was provided.

4:06 p.m., Officers spoke with a citizen at the Police Department about a possible crime. Officers determined the incident to be civil in nature.

5:29 p.m., Officers assisted the Chillicothe Department of Emergency Services in the 1300 block of Easton St. with a medical call.

5:53 p.m., Officers conducted follow-up on an investigation in the 1400 block of Clay St.

6:14 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1300 block of N. Washington St. Officers responded and discovered the suspect had left. No report was filed at that time.

7:07 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department with questions about a possible crime. Officers spoke with the citizen and provided assistance.

9:15 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at Danner Park. Officers responded and did not discover any criminal activity.

9:46 p.m., Officers were dispatched to suspicious activity in the 10 block of Elm St. Officers responded and did not discover any criminal activity.

9:53 p.m., Officers spoke with a citizen about possible stealing in the 1000 block of S. Washington St. The citizen declined to file a report at that time.

Officers conducted traffic stops, business checks and responded to 126 calls for service on Wednesday, October 20th, 2021.
