Chillicothe Police Activity for 9/14/21

8:27 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a juvenile who was attempting to skip school. The juvenile was located in the 900 block of N. Washington St. The parents were notified and the child was taken to school.

8:43 a.m., Officers were dispatched to harassment in the 400 block of S. Washington St. Officers spoke with the parties and the incident was resolved.

8:47 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of Frederick St. The incident was determined to be verbal in nature.

8:48 a.m., Officers were dispatched to possible property damage from the year 2020, in the 400 block of Montgomery St. Officers spoke with the parties and the incident was resolved.

9:12 a.m., another agency contacted the Police Department about an on-going investigation. Officers spoke with the agency.

9:24 a.m., a citizen called the Police Department about a scam phone call where the caller claimed to be from U-Haul and the recipient was in trouble. The citizen realized it was a scam and no information was provided.

9:30 a.m., another agency contacted the Police Department requesting assistance with an on-going investigation. Officers provided the assistance.

9:45 a.m., Officers spoke with a citizen at the Police Department about an on-going investigation.

10:00 a.m., Officers were provided information for the location of a stolen vehicle. Officers checked the area but did not locate the vehicle.

10:24 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a wrong-way driver on Eastbound U.S. 36 Hwy. Officers located the vehicle and the elderly driver became confused while trying to find a location in Chillicothe.

10:35 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a well-being check in the 1000 block of Elm St. The person was found to be okay and did not need assistance.

10:36 a.m., a citizen contacted the Police Department requesting information from a report they filed. Offices spoke with the citizen and assisted them.

10:37 a.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible intoxicated person struggling to walk in the 1000 block of S. Washington St. Officers contacted the person who took a break in a shaded area.

11:01 a.m., a citizen called the Police Department to provide information for an on-going investigation. Officers took the information.

12:24 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department requesting information on how to assist a family member. Officers spoke with the citizen and provided assistance.

2:07 p.m., Officers were dispatched to possible stealing in the 600 block of Elm St. Officers spoke with the owner who did not wish to pursue charges at that time.

3:01 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a two vehicle non-injury traffic crash in the 900 block of Dickinson Ave. Officers took a report and both vehicles were driven from the scene.

3:14 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department with questions about registering a motor vehicle and possible citations. Officers spoke with the citizen and provided assistance.

4:29 p.m., Officers spoke with a citizen at the Police Department about an on-going investigation.

6:33 p.m., Officers were dispatched to a possible physical fight between two males in the area of Jackson St. and Elm St. Officers did not locate anyone at that location. Officers were able to locate the two males at different locations. Officers determined the incident was verbal in nature.

6:52 p.m., a citizen contacted the Police Department with concerns about a person with a political flag containing a curse word. Officers spoke with the citizen about their concern.

7:00 p.m., a citizen called the Police Department after observing smoke in the 500 block of Park Ln. The Fire Department confirmed there was a controlled burn in the area.

Officers conducted traffic stops, business checks and responded to 117 calls for service on Tuesday, September 14th, 2021.
