Chillicothe Police Activity Over the Weekend

Friday, August 27 th , 2021
7:16 AM, Officers responded to the 1500 block of Calhoun Street, for a report of a stolen tire,
the investigation is ongoing and no suspects have been identified at this time.

9:49 AM, Officers responded to the 200 block of Jackson Street, for a report of property damage
and vandalism. The investigation is ongoing, no suspects have been identified at this time.

10:10 AM, Officers responded to the 1300 Block of N. Washington St., in reference to a one
vehicle crash. Upon investigation, one vehicle was involved in the crash after the driver veered
off the roadway, struck a utility pole and sustained minor injuries. The driver was taken to the
hospital by ambulance and the vehicle was towed from scene.

12:43 PM Officers took a report of stealing from the 900 block of Dickinson. The investigation
is ongoing and suspects have been identified.

4:40 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of Washington Street for a report of theft
that occurred earlier in the day. The suspect was identified, and the investigation is ongoing.

6:04 PM, Officers spoke with a subject at the Police Department in regards to questions about
child custody.

8:00pm Officers responded to the 1300 block of Easton Street, in regards to a check the well-
being. Officers made contact with an individual and determined he did not need any assistance
10:44 PM, Officers attempted to serve a warrant in the 1700 block of Borden Street. The wanted
subject was not located.

11:09 PM, Officers attempted to serve a warrant in the area of Ridgecrest and Timberlane Dr.
The wanted subject was not located.

Officers also conducted traffic stops, business checks, paper service, and followed up with
numerous investigations.

The Chillicothe Police Department received 93 calls for service on Friday, August 27 th , 2021.

Sunday, August 29th, 2021

2:43 AM Officers responded to 600 block of S Washington Street for a report of suspicious activity. Officers made contact with an adult male that was an employee of the store.

9:39 AM Officers responded to the intersection of 11th and Elm in reference to a street sign being knocked over. Upon further investigation, officers discovered the sign was damaged by a vehicle that then left the scene of the accident. A suspect has been identified and the investigation is to continue.

10:48 AM, Officers took a walk-in report of stealing from the 1000 block of S. Washington St. Officers recovered two cell phones that were stolen. The investigation continues.

3:44 PM Officers responded to the 1200 Block of Clay in reference to a dog at large. Animal control was contacted to resolve the issue.

4:02 PM Officers responded to the 500 block of BUS. 36 HWY in reference to drug activity. Officers investigated the incident but were unable to make contact with suspected individuals.

4:24 PM Officers responded to a home on Shawnee Drive in reference to illegal dumping. Parties responsible were contacted and intend to correct the dumping.

4:34 PM Officers addressed a concern of peace disturbance near the intersection of 2nd and Wilson. No law violations were observed at the time.

10:06 PM Officers received a report of a possible stolen vehicle taken from a residence in the 100 block of Henry Street. Investigation is continuing.

10:58 PM Officers responded to the 300 block of Jackson Street in reference harassment. Parties involved did not want a report at this time but were advised of alternative methods to help their situation.

Officers also conducted traffic stops, business checks, paper service, and followed up with numerous investigations.
