Chillicothe Police are Investigating Sexual Abuse of Juvenile

The Chillicothe Police are investigating allegations of sexual abuse of a juvenile.

A press release from the Chillicothe Police Department states:

On November 12, 2019, at approximately 1255 hours, Officers were contacted by the Chillicothe School Staff in reference to an allegation by a juvenile female in reference to the enticement of a minor while at home. Officer began an investigation of sexual misconduct, statutory rape, sodomy, and enticement of a minor.

On November 13, Officers applied for and were granted a Livingston County search warrant. Officers of the Chillicothe Police Department, Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, and Missouri State Highway Patrol served the search warrant in the 200 block of E. Polk Street. As a result of the service of the search warrant officers seized several items including clothing, furniture, and electronics to assist in this case.

This is currently an active investigation and more search warrants are being sought, interviews are proceeding, and communication with the Livingston County Prosecutor will be continuing as we progress with the case. Our staff is working around the clock on this case. We are working closely with the Livingston County Children’s Division, North Central Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center, and Children’s Mercy Hospital.
