Chillicothe Police Weekend Update 8/9/21

Friday, August 6th, 2021

12:27 AM, Officer conducted prisoner transport to the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail.

1:08 AM, Officer responded to the 400 block of Wise for a suspicious person. No suspicious persons were located.

8:08 AM, Officer conducted follow up investigation in the 700 block of Elm Street.

11:41 AM, Officer conducted well being check of subject on the 100 block of West Business 36. Subject was safe.

11:47 AM, Officer received a report of theft from a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street.

12:14 PM, Officer received a report of property damage in the 10 block of Webster Street.

1:29 PM, Officers responded to a two vehicle non-injury accident at US 65 and MO 190. Officers reported a vehicle failed to stop at a red light and struck another vehicle.

2:53 PM, Officer spoke with subject in the 600 block of Walnut regarding a civil custody issue.

2:56 PM, Officer responded to a business in the 500 block of East Business 36 for a report of trespassing. Trespasser had left prior to officer arrival.

3:09 PM, Officer recovered an abandoned stolen motor vehicle out of Iowa in the 1900 block of North Washington Street.

3:57 PM, Officer contacted by citizen regarding ordinance on UTV’s.

5:07 PM, Officer received animal complaint in the 100 block of East Second Street. The animal was later retrieved and taken to the animal shelter.

6:06 PM, Officer returned property to a victim of a theft.

6:09 PM, Officer conducted follow up investigation at a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street.

7:02 PM, Officers responded to an intrusion alarm at a business in the 1100 block of South Mitchell Road. Officer found the business to be secure and the alarm was an accidental activation.

7:37 PM, Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of Olive. Officers determined the incident to be verbal in nature and no arrests were made.

10:35 PM, Officers responded to a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street to a report of loitering and littering in the parking lot. Officer contacted the subjects and the litter was properly disposed of

and loitering ceased.

Officers responded to 122 calls for service on Friday, August 6th, 2021.

Saturday, August 7th, 2021

3:00 AM, Officer called to a business in the 300 block of West Business 36 for a report of a suspicious person. Officers located subject and was deemed to not be suspicious.

7:13 AM, Officer received a report of property damage in the 10 block of Webster Street.

7:37 AM, Officer received a report of a disturbance in the 900 block of Clay. No disturbance was located.

10:51 AM, Officers called to a business in the 700 block of Elm for a report of a suspicious person. Officers located the subject at another business in the 1200 block of North Washington Street. The

subject had been operating a motor vehicle and was issued a citation for having an expired driver’s license.

2:27 PM, Officer received a report of stealing from a business in the 2600 block of North Washington Street. Officers contacted a subject and it was discovered incident was an accident. The subject

responded to the business and resolved the issue.

3:18 PM, Officers received a report of harassment in the 100 block of Polk Street.

6:05 PM, Officers responded to a business in the 200 block of Brunswick for an unsecure door. Officer secured the business.

8:38 PM, Officer called to the 300 block of Clay for a report of an illegal burn. The residence extinguished the illegal burn and was advised of city ordinance.

9:14 PM, Officers responded to the 200 block of East Polk for a report of fireworks. None were located.

9:41 PM, Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of Polk Street. Officers determined the incident to be verbal in nature and no arrests were made.

10:07 PM, Officer received a report of a noise complaint in the 1700 block of Locust. Officers contacted subjects and advised of complaint. No further issues were reported.

Officers responded to 67 calls for service on Saturday, August 7th, 2021.

Sunday, August 8th, 2021

2:02 AM, Officer located suspicious subject in Simpson Park. Subject was identified and advised of park hours. Subject stated he was passing through.

2:57 AM, Officers responded to an intrusion alarm at a business in the 500 block of Park Lane. Officers advised the business was secure and the alarm was a malfunction.

4:17 AM, Officer checked on a small recreational fire in the 300 block of East Bridge.

7:25 AM, Officers responded to an alarm at a business in the 1000 block of Graves. Officers advised alarm activation was accidental.

11:58 AM, Officers responded to a disturbance in the 1300 block of Monroe. Officers reported a subject left the residence and issue was resolved.

12:05 PM, Officer conducted well being check of subject in the 300 block of Edgerton. Resident was found to be safe.

4:54 PM, Officer conducted well being check of subject in the 2600 block of Shawnee. Resident was found to be safe.

7:00 PM, Officer received a report of a suspicious person in the 600 block of Jackson Street. Subject was gone upon officer arrival.

7:41 PM, Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Cowgill Street. Officers advised the incident was verbal in nature and no arrest were made.

8:27 PM, Officer assisted a resident in the 200 block of Cowgill with a bat in the residence.

10:25 PM, Officers received a report of a suspicious person in the 400 block of Washington Street. Officer located subject and subject was determined to be ok.
