Church Youth Leader from Hamilton Charged With Child Sex Crimes

HAMILTON, MO – Daviess County authorities have charged a Hamilton woman with seven felony counts of sex crimes with a child.

It is alleged that twenty-nine-year-old Anastasia Dawson engaged in illicit activity with the minor while she was the victim’s church leader. A probable cause statement issued by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says Dawson later paid the victim to work on her farm and tend to her children, during which the victim began to stay overnight at the residence.

The allegations are said to have taken place between September 1st of last year until this past Tuesday, when Dawson helped the victim run away from home.

As charged at this time, Dawson faces a maximum penalty of thirty-seven years in prison. A warrant has been issued for Dawson, bond has been denied.
