The City of Cameron is warning citizens of a phone scam that is targeting city utility customers.

Authorities say the Cameron City Hall has received numerous calls from customers today (Tuesday) from utility customers reporting receiving robo-calls informing them their utility account was past due.

The City of Cameron, however, says they do not utilize robo-calls to contact utility customers. If you have questions about your bill, they as that you contact City Hall directly at (816) 632-2177.

As a reminder you should never give your personal and/or credit or debit card information to phone solicitors.
