City of Princeton Approves Tax Levy

Princeton’s Board of Aldermen approved their levy for the year during a meeting held Monday night.

The levy for the City of Princeton will be $0.94 per hundred dollars of assessed valuation. That levy breaks down to $0.85 into the General Fund and another $.09 into the Band Fund.

Service contracts were also approved as presented by Amy Cool with the Princeton Chamber of Commerce. Two of the contracts will be for events connected with Calamity Jane Days in September. The other contract will be for bandstand entertainment that will be performed on the Princeton square on August 22nd.

Princeton’s city council will hold their next meeting on September 10th at 6pm.
