Clarinda Driver Injured In Nodaway County Accident

A Clarinda driver was injured following an accident north of Elmo Tuesday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 78 year old Connie Marriott of Clarinda entered an intersection at Canyon Road and 110th Street in Nodaway County while heading southbound on Canyon Road. 35 year old Kyra Smith of Clarinda was heading westbound on 110th street and also entered the intersection. Both vehicles attempted to stop but Smith’s vehicle struck Marriot’s vehicle at an angle on the driver’s side door.
Connie Marriott received moderate injuries in the accident and was taken to Mosaic Life Care in Maryville.
The Nodaway County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Highway Patrol. The accident took place at 10:30am Tuesday morning.
