Clinton County Passes Law Enforcement Tax and Full Time Prosecutor Questions

Voters in Clinton County Tuesday passed a pair of measures, one aimed at more funding for law enforcement and the other creating a full time County prosecutor position.

Clinton County voters gave their approval to a one half-cent sales tax that twill benefit the Sheriff’s Department, Prosecutor’s Office, Victim’s Advocate, and Coroner’s Office. They approved that measure by a 946 to 775 margin.

Voters also approved a measure to make the County Prosecutor a full time position. That passed by a 975 to 727 margin.
