Commercial Flatbed Truck Overturns North of Cameron

A commercial flatbed truck overturned on I-35 north of Cameron on Tuesday.

According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, an International MV607 was being driven by 48-year-old Juan Martinez from Grand Prairie, Texas, north on I-35 with passenger 27-year-old Omar Flores Castro from Garland, Texas.

Three miles north of Cameron, Martinez lost control of the truck and overcorrected to the right. The truck overturned onto its driver’s side and stopped facing southeast.

Both occupants were wearing safety devices and suffered minor to moderate injuries while the truck was extensively damaged. The occupants were taken by Daviess County EMS to Cameron Regional Medical Center.
