(MISSOURINET) – Conservative Republicans are laying out their plan for when the Missouri Senate returns from their Legislative Spring Break. Democrats held up a gender transition bill, which resulted in the Senate adjourning one day early, but bill sponsor, Republican Senator Mike Moon says he’s not backing down…
It’s not clear what compromise can be reached on this bill, but Moon says his conservative caucus is considering threatening a procedural tactic to stop debate and force a vote. Kansas City Democrat Greg Razer labels the bill as traumatizing and says he does not want lawmakers making medical decisions for children. The Legislature is scheduled to get back to business on March 20.
