Children will have the opportunity to learn more about the American Revolutionary War period in a fun and creative way next week in Gallatin. The Constitution Day Camp is set to take place in Dockery Park. Rosanna Andersen is one of the founders of the event which has been held in other parts of the country.
Anderson says that participants will be learning about events that led up to the American Revolution.
Lessons, crafts, games and music throughout the week will help increase campers understanding and appreciation of this period of American history.
The week will culminate with a presentation for the children’s families on Friday night where the children will perform a musical and demonstrate what they have learned throughout the week. Anderson says the day camp allows children to better remember the historical events.
The Constitution Day Camp will be held in Gallatin at Dockery Park Monday through Friday of next week from 8:30 a.m. to noon daily for any child ages 7 to 14 years old. The cost is $20 which will cover all costs, snacks and handouts. To register or for more information email [email protected]
