Crash Just North of Savannah Injures Oregon Man Monday

An Oregon, Missouri, man suffered injuries in an Andrew County crash Monday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred on Business 71, just north of Savannah, as 80-year-old Joseph G. Montgomery drove northbound.

Troopers say Montgomery swerved to avoid a stopped vehicle, went off the north side of the road, struck a ditch, and came to a rest.

Montgomery suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic in Saint Joseph.

Authorities say Montgomery did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
