Crossroads Correctional Center Death Reported From Sunday

The Missouri Department of Corrections says an offender at the Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron died Sunday afternoon.

A press release says 76-year-old offender Daniel Williams died at 3:00 Sunday afternoon at the correctional center.

Williams was serving multiple life sentences for first-degree murder, assault with intent to kill with malice, and striking a police officer from Saint Louis City.

The DOC first received Williams in January 1977.

Authorities say Williams died of apparent natural causes.
