Daviess County Health Department Announces Scholarship Winners

GALLATIN, MO – Recipients of the Daviess County Health Department scholarships have been announced.

Trystn Dunks of Jamesport is currently enrolled in the nursing program at North Central Missouri College with plans to further her career by obtaining a PhD in Nursing with a specialty in labor and delivery.

Brian Lewis is a senior at Winston High School and will attending Missouri Western University this fall with plans to study medicine and begin medical school.

Olivia Woody is a senior at Gallatin High School and will be attending University of Missouri this fall with goals of becoming a pediatrician.

Each student will receive a $1,000 scholarship from funds donated to the health department by a community donor. The Board of Trustees chose to use the donation to give back to the community and invest in youth planning to seek degrees in the medical field.
