Daviess County Health Reports Small Increase In COVID Numbers

The Daviess County Health Department Wednesday announced new COVID numbers showing a small increase in cases in the County, including a hospitalization.

According to the new numbers released Wednesday, Daviess County has 14 active cases of COVID-19 with four of those infections among people fully vaccinated. That brings the county total to 1,021 cases since the pandemic began.

Those numbers show a small increase from the last data released October 27th, when the county had 11 active cases and a total of 1,011 since the pandemic began.

The latest numbers also show one current hospitalization which was not the case on October 27.

The county has seen a modest growth in vaccinated individuals as well, with the data showing 31.5% of the citizens have been fully vaccinated, up .6-percent, but still 18.5% below the state average.

No new deaths were reported related to COVID.
