Daviess County Reports 11 New COVID Cases

The Daviess County Health Department says the County has 11 more active cases of COVID-19 since their last numbers report on July 28.

According to numbers released this morning (Thursday) there are 25 active cases of COVID in the county, up from 14 on July 28. That brings the County’s total number of cases since the pandemic began to 805, up from 780 just two weeks ago. Of the 25 active cases, 13 involve people over the age of 60, six cases with patients aged 40 to 59, and another five ages 20 to 39.

Luckily in the past two weeks there have been no more deaths reported.

The County reports that a total of four individuals have been hospitalized from the virus, all of whom are unvaccinated. They also say a total of seven of their cases involve people who are fully vaccinated, but they report those patients are suffering from mild symptoms.
