Decatur County Hospital Selected For Emergency Rural Health Care Grant

The USDA has announced $129 million dollars in Emergency Rural Health Care grants intended to improve health care facilities in rural communities. This cycle included 172 rural health care grants.

The Decatur County Hospital in Leon will receive $274,000 in grant funding to help the hospital recover from the economic impact of COVID-19. The money will replace lost revenues caused by pandemic-related challenges.

The funding is intended to provide the hospital with financial resources to better serve the region.
