DED Announces Latest Round Of Missouri Company Expansion Using State Funding Incentives

The Department of Economic Development announced the expansion of the latest nine companies and are among 90 total business projects that were supported during 2023. The investment included than $55 million from the DED with up to 296 new jobs created by the companies that were part of a total $2.9 billion in investment that also resulted in more than 5,100 jobs created since January support.

Three Kansas City area companies were among the nine included the the latest investment announcement. Cathcart Repair Facilities, a freight car repair and rail services company, is expanding in Kansas City, and investing $9 million and creating 20 new jobs over the next few years.

Donaldson Company is expanding in Harrisonville, investing more than $6.4 million and creating 35 new jobs. It includes filtration technologies and provides filters and parts.

Reinhart Foodservice LLC, a subsidiary of Performance Food Group Company, is a nationwide food and beverage distributor and is expanding in Lee’s Summit, investing more than $22 million and creating approximately 44 new jobs over six years.

The Regional Engagement Division, established in 2019, works toward business development statewide through collaboration with local partners.
