Defense Classes For Women And Seniors This Weekend

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office will be offering both a women’s self defense class and a self defense class for senior citizens this weekend.

The classes will be led by Detective Dr. Greg Vecchi and Clinton County’s new Department of Conservation agent Corporal Sarah Foran, who is also a self defense instructor.

Both classes are being held Saturday, October 7. The women’s self defense class, designed for women up to age 60, is being held from 8 A.M. until noon, with the senior citizen self defense class, for men and women age 60 and over, from 1 until 4 P.M.

The classes are free but preregistration is requested by emailing Jessica Burchit at [email protected].

Those attending are encourages to wear gym clothes and comfortable shoes. Those with health conditions, physical activity restrictions, or other health concerns should contact their physician before taking part in the classes.
