Department of Corrections Announces Crossroads Correctional Center Death

The Missouri Department of Corrections reports an offender’s death at Cameron’s Crossroads Correctional Center.

A press release says 66-year-old offender Leon Gunn died late Friday, May 26, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Gunn was serving a life sentence for first-degree murder from Jackson County.

He was received into the Missouri Department of Corrections in December 1987.

The state says Gunn died of apparent natural causes.
