Department of Corrections Announces October 6 Offender Death At Crossroads

The Missouri Department of Corrections has announced an offender death that happened Friday, October 6 at the Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron.

According to the release, at 8:40 A.M. on Friday, October 6, 2023, offender Thomas Midgette (DOC No.1223628) was pronounced dead at the Crossroads Correctional Center. Midgette was a 61-year old offender serving a 30-year sentence for 2nd-degree murder, unlawful possession of firearm, and armed criminal action from Jackson County.

Midgette was received in the Missouri Department of Corrections on March 29, 2019.

The Department of Corrections says he died of apparent natural causes.
