Department of Natural Resources Awards Nearly $120,000 In Grants To New Hampton & Jamesport

Two area cities will have received nearly $120,000 in Missouri Department of Natural Resources grants.

The city of New Hampton is receiving $62,470, while Jamesport is receiving $56,250 in clean water engineering report grants from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Each community will use the funding to evaluate its public wastewater system.

New Hampton and Jamesport will both use their grant to identify wastewater system improvements needed to meet permit requirements, continue reliable service to the area and reduce storm water infiltration into sewer collection pipes.

Both facility plans should be complete in April 2025.
