Dog Shot In Wheeling

Livingston County authorities are searching for information regarding a family pet that was shot in Wheeling over the weekend.

According to information released today by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, they began an investigation into the shooting of a family dog in Wheeling at 9:44 P.M. Saturday. They say the dog was shot with a shotgun and had multiple pellets in its body. The animal was taken to a vet for urgent care and is now recovering at home.

Authorities say the evidence they have collected suggest the dog which is black in color and wearing an organ colored collar, was shot on its owners property in the 100 block of North State Street in Wheeling.
