Dolly Parton Imagination Library Expanded To Entire State of Missouri
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education has announced the expansion of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library throughout the state of Missouri. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library provides age-appropriate books each month to children under 5 years of age free of charge in an effort to inspire a love of reading.
The Dolly Parton Imagination Library has been available in some areas of the state. 57 affiliates have distributed more than 17,000 books to Missouri children. The expansion is made possible with $11 million included the DESE’s fiscal year 2024 budget.
There is no deadline to register. All Missouri children under five years of age are able to register for the library. The registration of the child must be done by the parent or guardian of their child on the Imagination Library’s national website. Books will be mailed directly to homes of registered children every month.
