Driver Flown To Hospital Following Accident With Dump Truck

One vehicle was totaled, and the driver was flown to the hospital after being hit by a dump truck in Caldwell County, east of Hamilton at noon Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 65 year old Fredrick Hanson of Linneus was driving a dump truck southbound on Route B at Highway 36 and crossed into the path of a car driven by 23 year old Taylor Owens of St Joseph. The front left side of Owens vehicle hit the front side of the dump truck. Owens was flown to Mosaic Life Care in St Joseph with moderate injuries. Hanson was not injured in the accident.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Highway Patrol.
