Driver Killed In Construction Zone Accident During Pursuit

A driver being pursued by law enforcement in Caldwell County died Monday morning when she crashed in a construction zone.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s report says 46 year old Sheila Roesch of Overland Park, Kansas was driving on Highway 13 at Route P, north of Kingston, at a high rate of speed while being pursued by the Ray County Sheriff’s Department and went into a construction zone. Her vehicle went off the side of the roadway and struck a vertical light trailer, went down an embankment, and caught fire. The driver was pronounced dead shortly after the accident was reported at 6:52am.

The Caldwell and Ray County Sheriff’s Departments assisted the Highway Patrol.
