Driver Killed in Nodaway County Crash

NODAWAY COUNTY, MO – A Burlington Junction resident was killed in an accident last night in Wilcox.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 8 pm on US Highway 71.

33-year old Burlington Junction resident Jesse Christian was northbound when he crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by 22-year old Dillon Mendez of Maryville. Christian’s vehicle overturned and came to rest on it top. Mendez’s vehicle travelled off the roadway and came to rest.

Christian was pronounced dead at the scene. Mendez was taken to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
