Driver of Allegedly Stolen Vehicle Sends It Crashing into Building in Chillicothe

After avoiding being stopped, the driver of an allegedly stolen vehicle abandoned the car and sent it into the rear of a building in Chillicothe.
The Chillicothe Police Department reports the incident at 3:46 am Wednesday when an officer attempted to stop the vehicle which had failed to yield to lights and siren.
The vehicle drove onto the property at 1000 Graves Street and traveled to the rear of the business. The driver exited the vehicle and it crashed into the rear of the building while the driver fled on foot.
Officers immediately conducted a search of the surrounding area with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Department but were unable to locate the driver. It was eventually determined that the vehicle had been taken from a business lot in the 700 block of S. Washington Street.
The investigation is continuing.
