E-BRIDGE Act Moves To Full U.S. House For Consideration

Missouri 6th District Congressman Sam Graves says the E-BRIDGE Act has been approved by the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. The E-BRIDGE Act stands for Eliminating Barriers to Rural Internet Development Grant Eligibility Act. The goal of the legislation is to provide federal funding that may allow last-mile internet infrastructure projects to be completed.

Graves says the legislation will allow distressed communities help in their eligibility for Economic Development Administration grants, promotes public-private partnerships in project development, allows funding to be used with other federal resources, and provides for in-kind methods to meet non-federal cost share responsibilities.

The E-BRIDGE Act now moves on to the full House.
