Easton Man arrested on Outstanding Warrant

An Easton man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on an outstanding warrant from Buchanan County.
Troop H of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 55-year-old Denny L. Gonyea was arrested at 4:25 P.M. Wednesday on an outstanding felony warrant from Buchanan County.
Online court records show Gonyea was arrested July 3, 2021 by St. Joseph Police for class D felony possession of a controlled substance. Those records show he then failed to appear in court as ordered on August 6 and the courts issued a failure to appear warrant that includes a $1,000 cash bond and $9,000 surety bond.
Gonyea was booked into the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center to await that bond. He is due back in court on Friday at 11 A.M. for a preliminary hearing.
