Edgerton Man Arrested on Sex Crime Charges Thursday

A Edgerton man was arrested on multiple sex crime charges Thursday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Laverne Bland was arrested on preliminary charges of three counts of failure to register as a sex offender and being a prior offender residing within one-thousand feet of a school.

Bland was taken to the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center and booked on a 24-hour hold.
