Edgerton Scouter Honored for Volunteer Work in the Region

Edgerton resident Dale Werts has been selected as a 2023 Silver Antelope recipient by the Boy Scouts of America. Werts is among 32 Scouters across the country that will be honored with the award at BSA’s National Annual Meeting scheduled for May 30 to June 1 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Volunteers within the BSA can be honored for their outstanding efforts by being chosen to receive the Silver Family of BSA awards. These awards include the council-level Silver Beaver, territory-level Silver Antelope and national-level Silver Buffalo.
Werts joins Scouters Scott Erikson of Omaha, Nebraska and Glenn Hay from O’Fallon, Missouri to receive the Silver Antelope for Territory 5 which consists of Missouri and parts of Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas, and Illinois.
