Electrical Brain Stimulation To Treat PTSD, Other Health Conditions Could Be On The Missouri Horizon

(MISSOURINET) – Some Missouri first responders, law enforcement officers, and veterans could get the chance to use electric pulses on their brain to help treat mental disorders, substance misuse, and brain injuries. The Missouri Legislature is being asked to create a test program to allow this sort of treatment for them. State Senator Bill Eigel (eye-gull), an Air Force veteran, is proposing to set up a fund to spend on this treatment.

With less than five days left in the legislative session, the bill could be added to another one that is closer to the finish line.
