Evergy Plans Customer Education Prior To Implementation of Time-In-Use Rate Change For Residential Customers

Evergy Missouri West and Evergy Missouri Metro have announced an intent to implement time-in-use electric rates for residential customers for the final quarter of 2023.

Under the Time-of-Use rate scale, the pricing is based on when electricity is being used including the amount of usage. The cost of electricity would be higher during hours of high energy usage.

Evergy Missouri says customers have and will continue to receive educational materials and time-of-use rates options.

The Missouri Public Service Commission has also developed a Frequently Asked Questions document for residential customers. It can be viewed here.
