Excelsior Springs Man Injured in Ray County Crash Saturday

An Excelsior Springs man suffered injuries in a Ray County crash Saturday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 1:37 Saturday afternoon on Highway 10 at South New Garden Road, as 59-year-old Larry L. Lake drove westbound.

Troopers say Lake attempted to turn left and struck another westbound vehicle driven by 48-year-old Wellington, Missouri, resident Holly J. Frye as Frye attempted to pass Lake.

Authorities say Lake suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Liberty Hospital.

They listed no injuries for Frye.

Troopers say only Frye wore a seat belt at the time of the crash.
