Excelsior Springs Woman Arrested on Drug And Driving Charges

An Excelsior Springs woman was arrested on drug possession and traffic charges Thursday in Jackson County.

Troop A of the Highway Patrol says 25-year-old Excelsior Springs resident Ashley R. New was arrested at 11:10 A.M. Thursday on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, careless and imprudent driving, cutting in on an overtaken vehicle, not having insurance and a lane violation.

New was booked into the Lee’s Summit Police Department and then released from custody.
