Excelsior Springs Woman Injured & Charged in Ray County Crash Tuesday Night

An Excelsior Springs woman suffered injuries in a Ray County crash Tuesday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 5:01 Tuesday night on Route U, west of Wright Lane, as a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Emmye K. Ring headed westbound.

Troopers say Ring’s vehicle began to skid, ran off the right side of the road, became airborne, and overturned multiple times before coming to a rest.

Ring suffered serious injuries and sought treatment at Liberty Hospital via Ray County EMS.

Authorities say Ring did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Following the accident, troopers arrested Ring on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated.
