Excelsior Springs Woman Jailed on Drug Charges

An Excelsior Springs woman was arrested Wednesday just before noon on a series of drug related charges, including two felony counts.
Troop A of the Highway Patrol says 46-year-old Excelsior Springs resident Venessa S. Wooten was arrested at 11:44 A.M. Wednesday on two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while intoxicated via drugs.
Wooten was booked into the Ray County Jail on a 24-hour hold.
