Fall Archery Seasons Underway In Missouri

The Archery Deer and Turkey Seasons opened in Missouri on Friday. Josh Roller is with the Missouri Department of Conservation.

 

For the Fall Archery Deer season, a 4-point antler minimum is in place for Harrison, Daviess, Gentry, Worth, DeKalb, Andrew, Nodaway, Holt, Buchanan, and Atchison counties.

There have been a little over 2,900 deer taken to this point in the archery season statewide. Daviess County has reported 27 deer have been harvested. Harrison County had 20 deer harvested. Worth County had another 15. Mercer County hunters harvested 11.

The harvest reports indicated one Gentry County hunter, one Nodaway County hunter, and one Holt County hunter successfully harvested a turkey with the archery method. There have been 127 harvested since Friday.
