Farm Bill Roundtable Held Friday In Missouri

A roundtable discussion was held friday in central Missouri on a new draft of the federal farm bill.

A new draft has been in the works for several months but no details have been released to the public.

Darrick Steen, with the Missouri Corn Growers Association, says he wants to know more about what’s included in the draft, such as trade promotion, reference prices and if there’s money for updates.

The ranking member of the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee, Arkansas U.S. Senator John Boozman, along with Missouri U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt attended the roundtable.
