FBI Agent Says Uptick in Allegations of Potential School Shooters

(MISSOURINET) –  St. Louis is waking up today from a nightmare – after a gunman walked into a school there Monday morning and opened fire, killing a 16-year-old girl and a 61-year-old teacher. Seven students were also injured and are in stable condition. Officers killed the suspect, 19-year-old Orlando Harris, who graduated from the school last year. FBI special agent Jay Greenberg reminds the public that any hoax or joke about school shootings will be taken seriously – today and always.

Police said the doors to Central Visual and Performing Arts High School were locked but they did not say how the gunman gained access to the building.
