Federal Judge Rejects Former Pharmacist Robert Courtney’s Request for Release

A federal judge has rejected a request from a disgraced Kansas City pharmacist to be released from prison early. 67-year-old Robert Courtney was sentenced to 30 years in prison in 2002, for diluting medications for thousands of cancer patients.

One victim’s daughter, Debra Allen, SAYS she’s surprised that Courtney will remain behind bars.

Kathleen Duncan SAYS her late father, one of Courtney’s victims, is smiling down today.

Federal prosecutors say some cancer patients received just one percent of the chemotherapy dose they were prescribed. More than 275 wrongful death lawsuits were filed against Courtney.
